The Scripture Behind the Tree
Three Christmas trees stand side by side, each one a quiet silhouette of the three wise men — silent witnesses of the first Christmas journey. They recall the long trek: months across burning deserts, through hostile lands, driven by a star that refused to fade.
Those wise men rode until their bodies ached and their camels staggered, because they knew a King had been born who was worth every mile. Their branches carry the weight of three gifts:
- Gold — for the sovereign Lord of all
- Frankincense — for the Priest who would bridge heaven and earth
- Myrrh — for the sacrifice that would break death's grip
These were not trinkets but treasures, poured out in worship to honor the King of the universe. At the heart of their story beats the truth of Christmas: Jesus, King of kings, came not to be served but to conquer sin for the world — including those far-off Magi, and including us.
