The Scripture Behind the Tree
The Bible calls us many times to "sing a new song to the Lord," reminding us that our voices are gifts we can offer back to Him. When we sing, we are not only expressing gratitude and love for God but also joining in a tradition that stretches back to the psalms of David and the songs of the early church. (Psalm 100:1-2)
Singing together also strengthens our sense of community. Each voice, whether strong or quiet, blends into a greater harmony — symbolizing the unity we share in Christ. The hymns and songs we sing carry God's Word into our hearts in ways that stay with us long after worship ends.
First Presbyterian Church of Naples decorated this tree to symbolize their church's deep love of music.
